Are we being conned when we buy our petfoods?

A class action lawsuit recently bought in the US is testing the law in this regard and covers these specific products:

  • Hill’s Prescription Diet

  • Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets

  • Royal Canin Veterinary Diet

  • Iams Veterinary Formula

Whether proven or not, it highlights one very important point and that is as pet owners, we must be vigilant on behalf of our furry friends to read the ingredients labels on the foods we give them very carefully and to educate ourselves in, at least, the basics of petcare nutrition, as their needs are very different from our own.
